Background
ILSI's First International Conference on Nutrigenomics - Opportunities in Asia was held in Singapore in December 2005. The conference’s aim was to provide a comprehensive and an up-to-date overview of the nutrigenomics field, with a particular emphasis on the Asia Pacific region. Many world-leading scientists presented at the conference, and it was a great opportunity for those working with nutrigenomics in the Asia Pacific region to network and begin collaborations with one another.
In 2006, The International Conference on Nutrigenomics & Gut Health - From Science To A Marketable Food Product was held in New Zealand, effectively becoming the second in the Asia Pacific Nutrigenomics Conference series. This conference again featured leading scientists in the nutrigenomics field, and also included a Young Investigators’ Award designed to encourage PhD students and early post-graduate scientists.
This, The Third Asia Pacific Nutrigenomics Conference – Diet-Gene Interactions in Human Health and Disease, aims to build on the success of the preceding two conferences. We have a full programme of presentations from world leaders in the nutrigenomics field, including some from the Asia Pacific region and others from outside the region. The conference will include many networking opportunities and we aim to encourage new and continuing collaborations in nutrigenomics activity.
